Deepleap.org is up.No one mentioned this yet, so I figured i would. Everyone go whine about the reload button not working.

I can't wait to get the XML -> perl -> HTML code they use to generate their site's navigation. It sounds handy enough to use on everything.

Have you ever noticed how XSLT tends not to get used for that middle step (as it should be, ideally). I worked on a six month project with a group of standards freaks and we ended up switching to Perl at the last minute because it was so much easier. Sniff. I want XML -> XSLT -> XHTML/CSS. (My body's natural X-producing gland was damaged in a skiing accident and I need to take supplements.)

Well Stewart, I'm glueing XML and XSL together with ASP, but I do wish it were more direct.

There's also Mozquito out there, making XHTML work with all browsers (through javascript)

There are more examples on the MSDN library CD's. If you have access to them. They are kind of pricey.

Completely off the topic now: I'd recommend Mozquito if only because the people behind it (Stack Overflow) are so cool. I know one of the principals from the XForms working group and got a chance to meet him once when he was stopping by the continent (they're from Munich).

Anyway, it was a nice synchronicity, very groovy people (stayed up till 3:00 in the morning or so) and just the right, IMO, vision of the web technology-wise. That is about as good a reason for trying new software as any.

I played with a pre-1.0 version six months or so ago (which I never had time to fully get into). The latest is 1.21. Just started downloading it . . .
