2 Awesome Seattle Trans Musicians

Reverend Dollars (Soundcloud link) is an amazing musician and DJ in Seattle, Left At London is another trans woman making really great music in Seattle as well.

This KEXP overview in 2017 of Reverend Dollars is a good description of what her music is about and contains a nice compilation of her tracks. If you live in Seattle, you must absolutely catch her out live. You can follow her twitter account @reverendollars for a list of events.

This 2017 interview of Left At London provides a good overview of her past, including her vine stardom. She writes and produces great music with highly personal yet relatable music. Which...as a songwriter and producer myself I am impressed with her ability to pack such revealing humility into her work in a way that universally connects with others as well. You can follow her @LeftAtLondon

Hope you enjoy! Let's be gay as fuck!

I'm loving Left At London! Thank you for sharing this! Bookmarking Reverend Dollars too, the first track I listened to got me bopping my head but I wasn't in the mood for head-bopping for some reason.

I have many hard feelings about Seattle, but I came fully out when I moved there over a decade ago and spent many years living there and coming into my queer identity and today is the unhappy anniversary of my first date with my ex I met at the Wildrose during Pride so...in short, this post made me nostalgic and happy.

Also if anyone is in Seattle this weekend, please go visit my IRL for Trans Pride

@the thorn bushes have roses: The Wildrose has been giving me some memories as of late as well, I'm just making them in the present as opposed to the past...

@anem0ne: Thanks for that! I'm looking at SuperKnova now!

nikaspark, wow, that is exactly the kind of confusing "did-I-just-get-negged?" kind of interaction that happened to me all the time at the Wildrose! What a confusing interaction and just like, perfectly encapsulates the Rose. I haven't been in years, the last time I went (during Pride) seeing all the bros gawk as they walked by, trying to get a glimpse of Real!Live!Lesbians! sent me into a full-on panic attack (I was on high alert because the hate crimes on the hill had gotten really bad again). Nonetheless I have so many happy memories.

Have a safe and fun time at Trans Pride <3, I got the IRL alert and I'm really happy to hear that security is being provided by/for the queer community.

Alexander James Adams is from Redmond (sort-of Seattle), and he's been making music for years. If you like his sort of thing, he's great. (I have his Yule album which I quite enjoy.)

I just love Left at London's twitter stream - so often delightfully funny. Her music isn't quite what I choose to listen to but I'm still a big fan of all her comedy videos and other work.
