Bang Your Head (It's a Celebration)!

Hah, these are great! I'd like to pick a favorite but they just keep getting better. And the videos are edited so well it adds to the art of the mashup.

The War Pigs one reminds me of this Cake cover. But old Black Sabbath had a lot of jazzy stuff going on if you listen in the right way.

That Kool and the Gang/Quiet Riot was so awesome that I am afraid to check out the others, lest my head explode.

Bill Withers and Pantera - Use My Mouth For War with some Ted Nugent thrown in... should not work, but somehow does.

Genius. Not just the music mashup, but the video editing too.

I swear every single YouTube is blocked from embedding anymore.

The Kool Riot one is really good, so is the Deep Purple Temptations and Rick James Rolling Stones. Van Halen Earth Wind & Fire etc. was pretty good.

Gloria Gaynor and Dio - I Will Survive The Rainbow In The Dark - who knew these would work together so well?

The Bang Your Head one is amazing!

I also like this one with Creedence Clearwater Revival and Michael Jackson - The Way The Bayou Makes Me Feel ("The Way You Make Me Feel" + "Born on the Bayou").

I haven't been so impressed and pleased with a set of mashups since the last Neil Cicierega album. These are more conventional "Gray Album" style stuff rather than the expansive, interpretive, sillier Cicierega stuff, but these are arguably even more finely crafted.

Slipknot and The B-52s - "Slipshack" -- so good.

Aerosmith + Temptations - I Can't Walk Next To You is nice. I notice that I've been watching these for the past three hours now... just jaw-dropping stuff.

can there be an infinite number of these? thanks

Here is where you can find the complete playlist of best mashups.

I have no idea why these so predictably tickle me so much -- I had not seen Celebration versus Bang Your Head previously and it's great! -- but I am a total sucker for great mashups.

So, it that spirit, I give you the best one I have ever heard. The Temptations versus the Rolling Stones -- Papa was In the Rolling Stones. Enjoy!.

I have fantasies of showing up at a karaoke night and singing the wrong lyrics over the songs. I may have to act on them at some point.

Isn’t this every karaoke session?

One day later, She Said Burn is brilliant in every way. The clash between appearance and styles is fun to watch, but listen without the video and it's a terrific song, period.
