The Folding Chair: Elisabeth said that life was like a folding chair, "I can put it away when I want to." That's what she said, I don't know if anyone understood her. What I did know was that she looked as beautiful as ever when she said it. posted by ColdChef at 1:08 PM on July 16, 2002
A folding_and_mutilating chair would be cooler. posted by fold_and_mutilate at 8:12 PM on July 16, 2002
Hmmm. Interesting. This very same (somewhat non-mainstream) link turned up this afternoon on a mailing list I subscribe to, a mailing list I never thought in a million years would have much overlap with MeFi. I find myself wondering - is it a coincidence? Or is some other MeFi reader out there a medievalist? posted by anastasiav at 11:38 PM on July 16, 2002
Anastasiav, it's probably coincidence. However, I did post the same link to my weblog earlier in the day, and I am a medievalist, so it's possible that it jumped from my page to your mail list. [Note: this exchange may have been best done via email, but Anastasiav's profile lists no address.] posted by ewagoner at 6:27 AM on July 17, 2002
