Remember when the Art Institute of Chicago released 52,438 HD art images into the public domain? Paris Musees, a collection of 14 Paris museums, collectively say, "Tiens mon vin." (via Kottke) (paging darkstar)

Oh, this is absolutely FANTASTIC.

And the works highlighted in the linked article provide a great introduction to the variety of works they're making available.

I can't wait to explore these all in great depth.
