My favorites from tonight's browsing session include A Journal of my Journey over the Mountains began Fryday the 11th. of March 1747/8 by George Washington; navigable, original Railroad Maps from 1828 to 1900; and African American Sheet Music, 1850-1920.

I love that place. My favorites are the WPA poster art, as good or better than the German & Russian of the period, and the historic American buildings.

I recently came across some Ansel Adams photographs in there that impressed me. These panoramic maps are pretty impressive too, look for your town.

American Memory is what finally persuaded me to purchase cable modem service a few years back. I can't believe it's never been posted here before.

You're right Cedar, it is something that people should be reminded of. It is a great site that has really grown over the years. Everytime I go back there is some new collection that I have not seen. Totally cool.
