A short documentary (8 m) about US war crimes in Iraq, as revealed by WikiLeaks. "Today April 05, 2020 marks the 10th anniversary of the publication infamous WikiLeaks publication Collateral Murder video. The video shows how two Apache helicopters murdered 11 Iraqi people including two Rueters journalists."

Still horrifying. I don't know if the US will ever be able to wash the oceans of innocent blood from its hands.
Perhaps most disturbing is the casual attitude of the soldiers, and knowing that this is just one of no doubt countless similar atrocities.

Chelsea Manning a huge hero. And her life in the years since has been pure hell, no privacy, no peace, no justice, just harassment after harassment from the US, resulting in multiple suicide attempts. She is hugely courageous, she is paying the price exacted by our government for telling the truth.
The whole thing was sickening. These murders just showed another facet of our attack on a country that had done us no harm, the biggest bully on the planet kicking hell out of a people. Abu Ghraib yet another facet, another face which the US showed the world.
We've been showing the world who we really are since Vietnam. The way we parade around, proclaiming ourselves the worlds policeman, it's just laughable, though not the kind of laugh that brings any happiness. If there really is such a thing as karma, if what goes around truly does come around, we are in for a real heavy hand.

To be fair, now you know where you sit with the U.S. too. Just because we were able to soothe some people's apprehensions in the past, doesn't mean we wished you any better (to the extent that it detracted from our oligarchs' profits).

America is the world's policeman, except it's the kind of policeman that people of color rightfully protest against for their colossal ineptitude and genocidal cruelty. So the analogy works.

I''ve been a silent participant on this site for 10 years. I am stunned that this post has received 11 comments. I assume you're like me and you're throwing your hands up and saying, "of course this is going on, what did we expect?".
On the other hand, this is clear evidence of the American military commuting murder.
This feels like an opportunity for non-passionate rational judgement. I assume you could track down the pilots of the helicopters. There must be dates and documentation.
I'm curious. What would it take to get this clear crime prosecuted? Connect with Bellingcat?

I agree totally Drifter568 but it might be an activity hazardous to personal health. I think journalists who probe war crimes are incredibly brave.
