The Moon Also Rises. Or how about: Ask Not For Whom the Moon Rises...

Both Karl Marx and Mohammed agree, he da' man..err...True Parent! He's serious but I'm laughing. Please God, make him stop!! Falwell and the right wingers actually suck up to this guy!

I've said it before and I'll say it again, American conservatives need to stand up as one and unequivocally disassociate themselves from this guy. But they don't! The relationship is the same as between Louis Farrakhan and African American political activists. Moon is a jerk, a heretic, an anti-Christ -- what more do you need to know? Stop writing for and buying the Washington Star. Now.

We'll know if he's telling the truth if the Rapture takes place, and the only empty cars careening around the highways are KIAs.

[American conservatives need to stand up as one and unequivocally disassociate themselves from this guy. ]

Speaking as an american conservative I'd like to know why I should disassociate myself from someone I never associated myself with in the first place.

The guy is a fruitcake - I think everybody (regardless of political leanings) should recognize that.

what if he's telling the truth?

That one is falling down easy.
To use the Bible (as Moon professes to do) upon the return of the Savior (as Moon professes to be) "every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that He is Lord."

I know you can't see me but I'm not on my knees confessing Moon as the returned Savior. Case closed.

Let's ask Jerry or Pat what they think about this declaration? Or how about asking Poppy Bush since he and Moon are such good friends? I think the evangelicals Delay and Lott are good acquaintances with the Reverend too. Perhaps they would like to comment.

I think it's the Washington Times, not the Star.

At least now we know who the Savior is, in addition to the King of France.

Yeah, I meant the Washington Times. In any case, it's time their staff looked in the mirror and asked itself whom the hell they are working for. In answer to revbrian: Many respectable pundits and journalists who DO represent conservativism in the national media write for the Times, quote it, and tolerate it -- more or less with the unspoken attitude of "Hey, he may be an anti-Christ, but he's OUR anti-Christ." They should repudiate Moon immediately, and move to New York to write for that new New York conservative daily (Headline in NY Post: "Ex-Moonies Head for Sun".)

...one assumes that those who believe religion is madness will not be rethinking their position in light of this development.

Given that this was the conclusion of this National Review article, I fail to see how this constitutes a conservative endorsement of Rev. Loon, er, I mean Moon.

clevershark,
The National Review isn't endorsing this...uhhh..person. Yes, the Review is a very conservative publication. The statements were that right wingers and others ARE sucking up to Moon. Poppy Bush himself is reported to have made over $10 Million off Moon while touring the world with him. It's only right since Poppy got him out of paying taxes for his worldwide industrial...err...church empire. And then there's Falwell, who owes Moon everything, literally to the tune of at least $30 Million. And the darling publications of Moon <s>Industries</s> church. All the right loves their slant/bias, almost as much as Murdoch's media holdings. Now THAT's endorsement!
