Me too! And after largely staying off the radar for so long, I'm glad that she's surviving, even if it's hard. She's had a tough time of it for a while, not even to mention dealing with personal tragedy that I'm trying not to mention in order to keep this upbeat. Allie Brosh is amazing and awesome.

Oh wow! More than just the announcement of a new Allie Brosh book, I'm really, really grateful for the (indirect) news that Brosh is doing at least well enough to put out a new book.

Oooh, there are three birthdays in my household in September! ...Now I just have to decide who is the "official" recipient. (Or get three copies. Maybe we need three copies.)

When I worked in an office I had to avoid even thinking about parp or I’d start giggling.

Glad she’s doing ok.

While I'm very happy about the new book, I'm a little concerned that the "OMIGOD SHE'S BACK ALLIE WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!" response may be a bit overwhelming for her.

I reference the "Simple Dog Problem-Solving Method" all the time. It is the best. Poor Simple Dog.

Really looking forward to this!

Preordered in hardcover, to sit next to my copy of Hyperbole and A Half. Now I have something to LOOK FORWARD to in fucking-2020...

"[verb] all the things"

I'm always saddened that she didn't get the buck-a-copy royalty from the internet that she really deserved for that work of genius.

!!!!!

I recently cancelled my ancient Amazon pre-order because the occasional "no idea when this will be available, do you still want it?" emails were too sad. Super excited that Allie's making art again and also to buy it from my local no-longer-owned-by-a-misogynistic-ass-OK-to-patronize indie bookshop.

what if we all agree to not beat this book's undoubtedly delightful writing into the ground the way we did "[verb] all the things"

I promise nothing whatsoever.

I can't be the only one to read the first few words of this post and gasp in worry -- I am so so glad that sentence came with a happy ending.

Also OMG OMG OMG off to pre-order now!!!

Allie Brosh is one of the few people I trust to help us get out of this year alive.

I had a dog very extremely like Simple Dog and those posts always make me scream with laughter and then really miss that dog hard.

I quote "Not today, I've got LEGS, motherfucker!" to myself on especially bad days.

Off to pre-order!

Hyperbole and a Half really, really helped me with some of my depression issues. That, and the goose story makes me laugh out loud just thinking about it. Like, snort laugh, unable to properly catch my breath or explain what I’m laughing about as I try to explain why I’m laughing, wheezing, and weeping all at once.

Highly recommended, and eagerly looking forward to the new book.

I have worried intermittently about her since I saw her on the JoCo cruise, which was about the time she stopped posting online much.

From last July, here's a video of six minutes of Allie Brosh and Felicia Day talking about creativity and stuff they like.

Oh, simple dog and helper dog, how I love you.

I think of them every time my neurotic dog barfs in the back of the car.

I’m happy! And relieved that she’s doing well :)

My dog is the perfect mix between simple dog and helper dog - minus the aggression towards other dogs, but ALL the melodrama.

Oh! I missed this at first only to have it turn up while perusing Most Popular. This is SO good news!
