92%?? I think the survey takers were the ones on drugs.

Also according to this obvously pro-drug group, 61.5% of people in the lowest percentage category smoked it.

I was waiting for them to also say that 130% of people in the music industry does so.

eas98: Worth bearing in mind:

The age group: 18-35

The high %ages are from people having tried the drug at some point in their life.

It's a UK survey. Everybody tries the stuff. It's as common as a cup of tea where I live.

Cannabis use is so prevalent here (uk and ireland), I don't know one person who has never tried it, except family (who I think all smoke it except my grandparents, but you never know...)

No way! Cops have the quality dank rolling in from all the busts they make, I'd be suprised if it wasn't one of the highest categories.

I suppose upon further reflection on the word tried it might not actually surprise me all that much. I think I would still be surprised if 92% of cops had tried it while on the job (although I know that this caveat isn't applied to the IT workers of the survey). As to anyone's personal life, nothing surprises me.

Wouldn't surprise me if they'd tried it. But not use it, they are random tested a hell of allot. Positive tests result in instant dismissal. (I come from a family of cops, for my sins)

Not in Europe they're not it would seem!

I think you'll find that over here it's far less common and probably a lot harder (due to our advanced human rights laws) for employers to impose mandatory drug testing so I would imagine that the use of recreational drugs is far more prevelant, even in professions such as the Police and Army.

Although I might be proved wrong here by my door being smashed in at 3am and some gentle persuasion with a night stick.....

How do you try a drug on a DAILY basis? You either use it, or you don't.
