Homer Simpson is Canadian, says Groening.
In Montreal for a performance of "The Simpsons", Matt Groening noted his dad was born in Canada and Homer is named for him so... "That would make Homer Simpson a Canadian".
He goes on to say the show will be on for at least another 14 years.
That should give us something to talk abiot.

Have you ever wondered (I bet you haven't) how a german accent is conveyed in the dubbed versions of the Simpsons in Deutschland? They make it sound Swiss, duh.

And Homer was born in North Carolina! So unless the elder Simpson was an immigrant, it looks like we've got another plot discrepancy on our hands...
