Good stuff. Coincidentally, the guy who animated that (and who also created Bert Is Evil) is the friend of a friend, and I was very honored when I found out he liked a web project I've been working on and wanted to meet with me to discuss it. This had me rolling on the ground and snorting coffee out.
Apparantly, it's from the standup materials of Rex Navarrete ... I'm going to have to listen to more of his stuff. posted by bclark at 4:56 AM on August 6, 2002
Very true bclark, I had to clean my screen. Very good find. posted by sahrens428 at 6:35 AM on August 6, 2002
This was hysterical. Great link! posted by Tin Man at 10:20 AM on August 6, 2002
Rex Navarette's standup routine + Dino Ignacio's "Bert is Evil" design craziness = pure art. I love their work. It's especially poignant to us Filipinos familiar with the plight of our countrywomen suffering the travails of being exported as cheap domestic labor. posted by brownpau at 4:29 PM on August 6, 2002
It would have been nice to tone down the audience laughter, though. It reminds me too much of really bad tv shows that are overcompensating. posted by Gary at 5:43 PM on August 6, 2002
