Charlton Heston has "symptoms of Alzheimer's". CNN link but that's not what's post-worthy. Will having a debilitating neurological disease make him any less of a gun proponent? The Constitution does not guarantee the right to bear arms, except to Alzheimer's sufferers. I applaud him for being open, but will he still carry a sidearm?
This post was deleted for the following reason:
Should it be left up to the individual to decide when they are badly enough impaired that they no longer have the "right" to carry a dangerous weapon? What would have to happen before he could be stripped of his right to carry one? Does it require a doctor's note or a court injunction? This is not a guns are good/guns are bad troll. I am specifically relating this to one's mental capacity. If he "admits" he has the disease, will he "admit" he's no longer able to use a firearm responsibly?
