This looks like a diverting rabbit hole if ever there was one. Thanks!

Meficore? You mean off-yellow-green on a non-professional looking blue background?

You're just jealous of my fresh new kicks.

Reminds me, in the abstract, of Ishkur's guide to electronic music. I do find these efforts to slice musical genres, fashion styles, etc, into ever-tinier slices to be both amusing and pointless.

Ok, this is pretty cool. I looked up one that I do know a bit about, cabincore, just to see if they were in the ballpark. They were.

Zamboni, those shoes cheer me up. I'll take the same scheme in my next bicycle, please.

This is neat. Thanks! Someone who isn't me should add more architecture to it.

I suggest beancore as an alternative to meficore. But that's more of a literary style than a visual choice. Perhaps they're orthogonal.

I've been called an "Art Hoe" and I'm still processing how I feel about that. (I guess mostly miffed since I obviously lean more Bubblegum Witch.)

It can lead to really interesting, informative and fun discussions... or insufferable snobbery and gatekeeping.

Is this a thing where if I were Tumblr I would be aware of what sold out and became mainstream?

Hm, I think this is tipping the author(')s(') hand that they're kinda maybe making up words:
Some music the creator of this aesthetic considers to be the epitome of Hustlewave:
[...]
Actual Hustlewave music hasn't been created yet, but one could imagine that it's just Vaporwave music without the irony, sarcasm, and melancholic vibe to it (so basically, it would just be the music that's sampled for Vaporwave, but without any of the distortion and effects put onto it and just existing as is before the effects are put on to create the unique soundscape).

Fascinating. No disclaimer on Futurism, though.

I want an aesthetic, but I'm old and the options seem to be femme fatale and vacation dad.

Yes this is one of the things I like most about the younger generation (have they been named yet?). As a hypersensitive person I can only embrace their granular observations of... everything! Lots of ASMR videos and appreciation of minor aesthetics. They're naming things I'm very sensitive to but didn't think to label. I feel validated :) I haven't looked at the list but if cottagecore isn't there, I will wail into my doilies*.

I'm only aware of this business because I spend a ridiculous amount of time on YouTube, Instagram, Reddit and Pinterest.

A generation that is hypersensitive to the very small pleasures of the senses, creative, unashamed and prolific? I have hope for the future.

*I do not own a single doily.
