These are so great.

Great reporting, too:

The event is full of love for everyone to enjoy.

You don't see that every day in the newspaper.

And from Kansas:

Local resident Ashley Davis was in downtown Emporia for the evening taking in the activities with her wife Samantha.

I know it shouldn't be surprising to see that in a Kansas newspaper, but for me, it is. Such a glorious relief and joy to see the phrases "her wife" and "his husband" all over the country, all the time. I never thought it would happen in my lifetime, and it's commonplace now.

I don't live in Michigan or Kansas or Nebraska, and it's easy for me to be ignorant of how things are there, easy for me to stereotype.

It is so lovely to see these joyous events all over the country.

Thank you so much for sharing these, hippybear!

Thank you for sharing posts. In my area Pride events are considered so mainstream they're almost passe, but I remember what it was like to be a young queer person in times and places where that was definitely NOT the case. The visibility, community, and freedom of Pride still matter and I'm delighted to see more areas open to engaging with this.
