But why would I shoot Mister Burns when I can set his soul afire with a slanderous mambo? Alas, poor Tito, I knew him not well at all, but a lot of my friends swore up and down that he was a talented musician, and he was in the running to have shot Mister Burns. Sad that that is what I know him from.

Damn that sucks. I saw him a couple years ago, he was amazing onstage. He could play the drums like no one's business while at the same time dancing, and he could keep it up for a couple hours. I wanted to see him again this past year, and missed out on several opportunities because I was too busy to go, and now I'm regretting it. RIP Tito...

Damn! Damn! Damn! There's a great line from Stripes, where Bill Murray's character tells his girlfriend the merits of Tito Puente's musicianship, but I can't remember it, and I can't find it anywhere out there.

Peterme: That was the first thing that popped into my head when I saw this posted. To refresh your memory (as best as I can recall), Bill's girlfriend is moving out and she describing why he's so worthless: "You stay up all night watching TV and listening to Tito Puente albums until dawn. And then, *then* you come to bed with me." Bill's response: "Y'know, one day Tito Puente's gonna be dead and you're gonna say 'I love Tito Puente. I've been listening to him for years.'"
