You know the accounting meme has hit the wall when folk singers start to make songs about WorldCom. Any else got some good links to give people a chuckle about the economy? (Forgive me if I offend, this is my first post)

It was a decent first try, but it was a dumb song -- and thus, a weak link. You could have looked up some past folk songs about the economy (or just Mark Shields!) and I know I heard something about a folk song craze making fun of the boom a few years back. Really, modern folk has always been topical. Guthrie, Seeger -- listening to their songs today is a time-travel leap to the concerns of the past.

Hoping I still have a sliver of a chance to redeem myself, here's a really great folk song about globalization.
Bringing up about how people are poking jest at Enron, WorldCom and the likes is essentially looking at how people are coping with current economic problems. I never looked at how folk songs have played into this. But thanks for your suggestion dhartung.
