Burn Interrupted. It seems that Round 2 of the Burn Baby Burn CD swap is on hold due to problems that come with managing the swap. Since many MeFi's have participated in their own CD swaps, maybe they can offer suggestions to improve the process? What has your experience been? Did you get all of your CD mixes? Or better yet, did you sent out all of your CD mixes?

I had a friend at work a while ago who did this kind of thing, and I've been wanting to try it out for a year or so now.

I had fun with BBB, but I was a little dismayed at the feedback I got. All participants sent their CD's, but I only got one "thanks" from them. I was kinda hoping for a review to see what they liked and didn't, but maybe I was asking for too much.
I actually trade mixed cds all the time, and I have even started a yahoogroup for monthly mixed CD trading... its fun when you get active participants.

I got 4 out of 5 BBB CDs back when I did the first round.
It's incredible to see the spectrum of musical influence and artistic talent that went into making the CDs.
I'd do it all again in a heartbeat.

I was reading the old swap threads and it looks like some mixes in particular won fame and reknown for their creators. It seems a shame to let such genius pass away unsampled... would swap rules consider it rude of me to email and ask for a copy of a mix? Or should I wait until the next swap?
