Also, more poetry from Centrifugal Forces. No, I don't understand most of it either, but interesting concept. posted by Stan Chin at 4:35 PM on August 28, 2002

Hm. I thought I'd heard of Suzanne Frishkorn (first poem on OneSixty) somewhere. But I'm still not sure where I've read her. posted by Shane at 6:44 PM on August 28, 2002
I remember a book from my childhood, entitled "CDB", which featured on its cover a cartoon of one boy pointing out a bumblebee to another boy. C D B?
This reminds me of that book, which contained the following passage:
D D-R S N D I-V.
Accompanying this passage was a cartoon of a wapiti in some foliage. For some reason, the elementary school-aged me found this hilarious. Now that I think about it a little, I still find it hilarious, but I think today's hilarity is aided more than a little by beer. Sweet, sweet beer. posted by mr_crash_davis at 8:33 PM on August 28, 2002
Holy smoly Crash, how the heck did you figure that out when you were in elementary school? It took me awhile going "Dee dee ar? Dance dance Revolution? Dee Der Essence Der Iv? [10 minutes pass] Oooh... The Deer is in the Ivy."
You're some kind of... brain baby. posted by Stan Chin at 9:18 PM on August 28, 2002
Mr. Crash. was that the Reader's Digest abridged version of the book? I learned the first tale this way:
C D Bs?
L, M R N O Bs.
S M R.
L, I L B! posted by taz at 11:47 PM on August 28, 2002
Worth mentioning that CDB was written by New Yorker cartoonist William Steig, who also wrote Shrek. posted by mediareport at 5:58 AM on August 29, 2002
