Jack De Sena is a former child actor and the voice of Sokka and the Dragon Prince. His longtime pal Chris W. Smith is a former Blue Man, actor/writer/producer, and juggler. Together they make Chris & Jack [trailer, Twitter, previously], a criminally underrated YouTube channel featuring high-concept, high-production value comedy sketches shot through with smartly-written metahumor and and a surprising amount of wholesome emotional honesty. Highlights: Groundhog Daying - Wormhole Monocle - The White Room - The Secret Weakness - Abduction and Mind Wipe - Body Swap - Secret Alien - Your Whole Life is a TV Show - The Art of the Heist - The Moments Between the Montage - If Scrooge Slept In - What's My Line? - Deja Vu - The epic struggle to invent a new holiday: July Sixth Park - 15-minute magnum opus MOVIES IN SPACE, about a cultural-exchange astronaut who is catapulted by host Eepgarg into the strange, strange world of alien movie production. posted by Rhaomi (10 comments total) 32 users marked this as a favorite

I wore my JulySixthPark shirt today, and introduces several people to my favorite date-specific franchise holiday.

I’m glad they finally got to go to Hawaii. Chris deserved it.

Also: their skit about the troll guarding the bridge is priceless.

I don't mean this unhelpfully, but I genuinely never know what I'm supposed to click on in this kind of post, so I don't click on anything.

Hmm, I can definitely be an inveterate linker but figured this would be clearer from context. If it helps, the post is about fantastic YouTube sketch comedy duo Chris (Smith) and Jack (DeSena); their (IMHO) best videos are linked after the Highlights: part, with the full catalog behind the main Chris & Jack link. Everything else above the fold is just context for the linked words (footage of DeSena's work on Nickelodeon and voice acting, an interview with Smith about being in the Blue Man Group and doing a one-hour juggling challenge), plus some extra bits and bobs related to their channel below the fold.

"The White Room" cracked me the hell up. Some very funny stuff here!

Movies in Space is what made me fall in love with these guys (I asked about it on Ask MeFi in 2017), and I've followed them ever since. I'll never understand why they aren't bigger on YouTube than they are.

Thanks for posting this. I've only watched a few but these crack me up. I can't believe they only have a 100k subscribers at this quality level.

I've been slowly making my way through these and they're all hysterical... thanks for this great post (!)

I looked up Jack de Sena and his earliest head shots are so familiar to me, but I know I never watched any of the things on his IMDB... he must have been in some commercial or bit part in something that's pinging for me... I just can't figure out what and it's making me nuts. Like "is he my friend's kid?" level of familiarity nuts (he definitely isn't).
