The dramatic epic emotional rollercoaster of Key & Peele's "Nooice" (SLYT).

From the comments: "The only guy that understood him he drove away because he wanted to be unique. Almost deep."

For the subject line.

Semantic satiation.

Aw c'mon, if there's already a "Nooice", you gotta be the one to yell "Sweeeeet!" But never together.

I've always liked how K&P forgo the usual straight man/jokester tradition in skits, and instead they're usually two people constantly trying to up the stakes on each other, each of them equally stubborn and equally responsible for whatever happens next.

I love how Key and Peele manage to do the same thing as some of the great British comedy teams like Mitchell & Webb or Armstrong and Miller -- do a ridiculous scene but with good dramatic acting. So awesome. It's something Saturday Night Live only stumbles into occasionally.

Thanks for posting this. Nice to see a great video with some cheeky context. At first I was worried that this would be an oral history. No need to tell the story- genius comedy and creative team, amazing production staff. Key and Peele are truly great.

I've been rewatching Key and Peele, going slowly and savoring each sketch. I love how they veer from the sublimely ridiculous to the most biting racial comedy, and sometimes do both in the same sketch. We never deserved them.

Longtime fan of the duo, so last year I got a hold of Key's History of Sketch Comedy podcast/audiobook. He does give a shout out to the golden age British sketch shows, and it's a good companion if you're rewatching bits to see where things are coming from.

Even as I was watching the show it was apparent, but really, in retrospect, Peele's trajectory into pure horror is inevitable.

n[OK, it's bits of different jokes that have been done many times before,]o[the weirdly intense competition, the "he's suddenly gone, was he ever even really here" thing]i[even the "looking for someone that became important to you over a very brief time who's gone now, only to spot them a little ways away" thing was done on Rick and Morty]C[but Key and Peele can still sell it, it's so good to see them working together, why didn't I appreciate them more while they were still a regular team--wait, I see them down the block, I'm not even really talking to you any more, I'm running, running, running through the rain...]E

I guess what I'm saying here is...

excellent
