The World Summit on Sustainable Development has come to a close and some say it was not very effective. It has becoming clear we need to act as an international community. But, what is an international community? (And can it work as well as our web community?:)

This post looks so lonely with 0 comments. So, what makes the anti-globalization posse think they can fix corporate globalization with environmental globalization? How do you come to think it's "becoming clear" we need to work as an "international community?" Maybe, just maybe, we need *less* international bullshit, and governments (ours and others) should concentrate on putting their own houses in order before they go telling anyone else what to do.

A bunch of people coming together and accomplishing nothing but endless discussions...sounds like it already DOES work as well as your web community.

Do you imagine anyone called Colin Powell a "f u c k w i t" at the summit? I don't know that an international community is the best approach to our current problems, but I honestly don't think it looks like we'll have much of a choice in the matter one way or the other.
