God damn that Stuart Little, poisoning the minds of the world's rodents with his flashy cars and cheap sex.

God, what an inane write-up. Sounded like it was specifically aimed at getting picked up by "weird news" aggregates.

Pretty funny, though, a rodent in a car! Someone should write a book about it or something.

me3dia, thank you for bringing back a portion of my childhood I had completely forgotten:)

I, for one, welcome our race-car hamster....oh, forget it.

No problem. (By the way, I wasn't dissing your post, just the journalist's skills.)

Anyone remember when bluesquare.com was running the live streaming video of the hamster dragster racing, and you could bet on the races? No? Fine, then.

I had two hamsters and used to put them in a hamster ball for running about the kitchen. It was really quite amusing because one of the hamsters could run faster than the other, so before too long the one that couldn't keep up would be tumbling around the inside of the ball like a towel in a clothes dryer.

I miss those days.

In my youth, my brother and I would enter various Hamster Races with our smart hamsters. I will just say that our house was filled with race winnings (read as: many Hartz hamster cages and accessories).

me3dia's right about the writing style, still you've got to love a news story that has the quote: "He is a good hamster, he just goes a bit mad when he is behind the wheel."

I highly doubt that I'd forget about my free range hampster.

hamp? ham.

Why is it that everyone misspells hamster as hamPster?

It's not as if anyone pronounces it that way, is it? Not picking on anyone here, just idly wondering.

I suspect it may be because people in no way want to associate hamsters with tasty pig foodstuff "ham".

Kaf-- I wish I knew. But I always catch myself spelling it incorrectly. Always.

Crash, I too miss my little guy; he was my cooking companion. My job was to cook-- his job was to eat the bell pepper seeds.

He had a little car like this critter cruiser, but I wish we had gotten this motorcycle.

The motorcycle is Snake River Canyon Jump accident waiting to happen.

Why is it that everyone misspells hamster as hamPster?

A linguistic phenomenon known as consonant shift. Also, the influence of words like Hampshire and dumpster.
