'Dilbert' dropped by major newspapers, including The Times, after creator's 'hate group' remark. Personally, I think his show being canceled on UPN really affected him.

Oh no.

There's a company in SF with a founder who for many years was into Scott Adams. Even when Scott Adams had already expressed his weird pick-up artist con-man behaviors.

I try to wrap my head around the founder's public face as a decent person, and his friendship with a manipulative, trolling, sexist and racist dude.

Eh, the mods will come along sooner or later and yeet it, until then: unauthorized free thread!

Proposed topic: other cartoonist who suck and have they commented on the Scott Adams racism fiasco? I'm going to look up Scott Stantis.

I missed it when, last year, Dilbert comics started criticizing ESG ratings (comedy gold, there) and added a Black character who 'identifies as white.'

But of course he did.

The Trouble With Dilbert

The guy revealed his hand during the 2016 campaign, so there's not much new going on this time.

(buffy12, you can't delete the post yourself, but you can flag it (click on the little [!] next to 'users marked this as a favorite') as a double post.

A moderator will probably delete it sooner or later, and then it won't be visible from the main page (though the post itself won't go away).

No worries about making the post--that kind of thing happens sometimes. A post like this one, where it's likely to be deleted, is sometimes a good place for jokes and riffs and whatnot--thanks for posting.)

I think this is fine as a standalone thread.

I'm glad the asshole has comeuppance coming up his ance.

One of the big failures in the US has been allowing those with a legacy and/or money to continue to find favor in the public square long after they've been proven to be an asshole.

Of course, all this will just gain him a die-hard audience in the 13-20% of the US who are MAGAsshoes/ProudBoys/3%ers/OathKeepers, and so he won't have his career die before he does. Sadly.

* Waiting for a mysterious new user to pop into the thread and mention that actually Scott Adams seems like a pretty cool guy and is always right about stuff... *
