At first,Napster hits the Offspring with a C&D. Now, they're working together to offer "a more complete line of Napster products."

This is, of course, an update to an < ahref="http://www.metafilter.com/detail.cfm?link_ID=1988">earlier thread. What I want to know is, do any of these guys ever try to work things out before sending a Cease & Desist, or is a C&D just the corporate form of "Hello"?

And here's the question:

Will Napster ever do ANYTHING to generate revenue? I mean, what's the point of having a company if any money you take in goes to charity?

Napster is doomed.

And the Offspring suck. As a band. I mean, their music just sucks. This might be the only press they'll ever get again.
