Thishas nothing to do with the web.. But in case you're like me and the time you spend away from your computer usually consists of drinking beer and/or playing on your neato video game system. You NEED Tony Hawk. the graphics on the DC version kick playstation's ass and its the perfect game to waste hours of time and lots of beers and to destroy your friend's ego.

I have the playstation version, and when I got it, my thumbs hurt for weeks. I barely ever touched my computer at home when I had the console set up, just because of this game. Now that I think about it, I'm glad I left the PSX in storage.

Of course, if the graphics and game play are smoother on the Dreamcast, I'd consider getting one, but I bet the PSX II will have an even better version (or version of Tony Hawk II) this fall.

The Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 demo is out right now for the PSX, you can get it wherever PSX games are sold (Babbages, EB, CompUSA).

They're putting the final touches on THPS2 and it should be out for the PSX this fall, no word on a version for the PSX2.

i got Tony Hawk for psx and i found it extremely fun for the first week. However, now i never tough the thing. I only liked a few levels. Most of them were just plain silly.

From the preview pics I've seen, Playstation II's graphics are not going to match the Dreamcast's until the second or third generation of games.

PSII games have jaggies because apparently anti-aliasing is a big issue that's still being worked on by Sony and developers.

Dreamcast graphics, on the other hand, are smoothy smooth. I got a DC because I got a great deal on it but if you're into games, I think it would be well worth the full price. Besides, the DC will soon have possibly one of the weirdest games of all time (Seaman) and one of the most ambitious (Shen Mui). Can't miss that.

i love my DC, i was waiting out for psx2 but we got a jap version of one here at checkout and i thought the graphics were not as good and the thing constantly over heated.

im glad i got a dreamcast

I was at E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo). I saw all the PS2 games that are coming out over the next year. I'm not the least bit concerned about the look of PS2 games vs Dreamcast games. PS2 honestly blew me away.

I will agree that the games out now in Japan are not much better graphically than DC, but the same can't be said for the other titles I saw (and there were a lot of them). Also, graphics aren't the only important thing in a game.

Of course, if we're talkin real power, you should have seen the X-Box demo they showed. Wow.

It's all about Bleemcast. Who needs to buy proprietary hardware anymore...just buy something decently fast, and use a good emulator.

I actually just bought a Dreamcast, so if anyone wants to chip in with their favorite games, that would be great. I've got Soul Calibur coming, but after that...a good FPS? Good racer? A good Zelda-style game? (I've heard good things about Rayman 2)
Review sites would also be good...I mostly check out Gamespot and Gamecenter.

Thanks. Without a decent snowboarding game for the DC, I may just have to go with tony hawk. And as far as RPGs go, after checking out the site you recommended, Shenmue looks, well, stunning. Amazing. The shit. And all that.
