Typical ha-ha fodder in which the president can't... get... what are those things... words! can't get the... words out... from his... what's the thing? under the nose there. Pie hole! Obstructed somehow. Pretty funny. I actually don't mind having a leader who chokes on his own hackneyed nonsense, thereby hobbling his delivery of lies to the public. Discussion topic: is MSNBC pioneering a silent style of editorial criticism? To use this footage in this piece in this way must have cracked up the news room. Does MSNBC have a news room? (suffer through the ad, then the salient bit is :25 in).

That clip is precious. A couple of days ago, the daily show did a whole segment on it. It was hillarious. Thanks for the chuckle.

I seem to remember this was posted, and deleted, last week, when the speech was actually given. The discussion it gave rise to was basically along the lines of "Man, George W. Bush is stupid. He has no business being President" or "Shaddup! He does so!" Which is probably why it was deleted. I expect this post will probably suffer the same fate, but you can't really blame someone for double-posting when the first post was deleted, can you?

Generally speaking, Bush's inarticulateness is a non-issue to me. It's embarrassing as hell, but I prefer more concrete evidence of stupidity. This clip has it: any intelligent person would have taken a moment to get the saying right. Only a moron would fumble on, getting more and more tongue tied, while pretending that nothing is happening.
