CNNNN: Chaser Non-stop News Network. This week, the Terrorthon reveals that Iraq is a bad place. "Last week, President Bush demanded unconditional access for weapons inspectors. And what does Saddam go and do? He gives unconditional access to weapons inspectors. Can you believe the nerve? It was a very aggressive act of compliance. Very provocative compliance. President Bush mustn't take yes for an answer." Must-watch for all Americans... From the same gang that brings you The Chaser, which continues dispite problems with its distributor over this story. Apparently it was in bad taste. I just thought it was funny...

Is it possible to edit the link? It points to http://www.metafilter.com/www.cnnnn.com .

Loved the one about the guy spiking his own drink though.

Though The Chaser fails to be consistently funny, it does hold the distinction of being the only satirical zine with the balls to make jokes about 9/11 the day afterwards: WORLD TRADE CENTER JANITOR DECLARES "Best sickie ever". I'd rank it alongside Chris Morris for sheer determination to offend. Not necessarily a bad thing, for those of us who like our humour black.

Last week, President Bush demanded unconditional access for weapons inspectors. And what does Saddam go and do? He gives unconditional access to weapons inspectors.

The current problem is because Saddam hasn't complied with ALL THE OTHER demands to limit his powers. Letting inspectors in is one thing, but should the UN say, Okay fine, or continue following up on all the other Gulf War-era agreements Saddam has broken?

not to be picky or anything, but shouldn't it be CNNN? Could they not figure out something for that last N?

They say comedy = tragedy + time.

Not enough time.

Come to think of it, just not enough comedy.

Turacma: It's just another way they fall short.

turacma: I think it's a gad. We were disgussing this last night while the show was on... what /was/ it called. We weren't sure if maybe we had just missed what the last N stood for but two things from the 'news ticker' decided it for us...

"ACCC citrisised for not having enough C's"

... and...

"CNNNN denies rumours of plans to change its name to CNNNNNNNNNNNN but managment admit concidering CNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN..."

Good post, robcorr.

I was trying to figure out a way of posting this excellent show. My point was going to be that these guys are the first to jump from the net to TV, but I'm ready to be corrected.

CNNNN has to be recorded so that one may read the jokes on the pull-through.
