"Basically, you die earlier and spend more time disabled if you're an American rather than a member of most other advanced countries."

(Some of you might want to consider moving to Japan -- 74.5 average healthy life expentancy, not to mention cheap and yummy sushi every single day if you felt like it!)

Remember when the boss of McDonald's in Japan told people to eat burgers, because it would make them taller, fairer-skinned, and rounder-eyed? He didn't mention the heart disease.

Why would I want to move to Japan? Where would I get my daily fix of mindless brutality, the cartoons?

Seriously, Japan is hardly all happiness and joy. Plenty of alcohol swilling, stress-crushed suicidal saraiman and Aum Soto to deal with. I say, move to the Gobi Desert. Get away from those damn people!

Is it a surprise (or merely sad) that the worst 23 countries are all in Africa, and then after Afghanistan, there's another 18 African countries before the rest of the world starts dying off?

Imagine living someplace where you weren't expected to reach your 26th birthday.

Sorry. I feel so sheltered.
