I love the fact that, if you want the Groucho duck, you have to settle for the third edition. I wonder how much a mint-condition first Groucho is worth... posted by MiguelCardoso at 9:06 PM on October 7, 2002

You gotta love the Mona Lisa duck. I wonder, is da Vinci doing back or front flips in his grave? Eh, I'm sure the guy had a sense of humor.
As for Mr. T . . . I'm sure they have some time before he gets wind of this. No doubt he's busy hunting down Cindy Lauper. posted by SimStupid at 9:23 PM on October 7, 2002
Please, I beseech you, don't click this link. I did once, and bought twelve of them. I eventually managed to talk them into taking back three (and got a full refund, after a wee bit of wrangling) after I told them to keep me on notice for the Frank N'Furter duck.
Unsolicited, unpaid endorsement: they are well-made, float and squeak wonderfully. My only complaint was the return procedure, because they do try to make you feel very guilty about it. "Well, they're collectibles." "I don't care, I don't have enough room in my bathroom for all of them - I'm sending them back." "But they'll appreciate in value." "Oh, like all the beanie babies? No, I bought a commodity - I'm sending it back, and I want a refund." You get the idea. posted by yhbc at 9:34 PM on October 7, 2002
The people at Celebriducks need to take a meeting with the people behind this product and I think we'll see the next great product don'tcha think? posted by jonmc at 9:35 PM on October 7, 2002
Okay, couldn't get to my own weblog for a minute there, and had to wing it. Here's my full report of my purchase, in three-part harmony, and with rotating .gif. (self-link, naturally). posted by yhbc at 9:37 PM on October 7, 2002
Where's T.J. Duckett of the Atlanta Falcons? What about Long Duck Dong from '16 Candles?' Presidential Ducks, you say? "Mallard" Fillmore! Okay, the duck stops here. posted by Frank Grimes at 9:38 PM on October 7, 2002
Me, I'm saving my money and biding my time, waiting for their first edition of the Redford "Get your own weblog" duckwit. posted by MiguelCardoso at 9:42 PM on October 7, 2002
I actually staged an email write-in campaign to force a Tom Waits Celebriduck.
Sadly, they failed to produce, despite a couple of encouraging responses.

True fact: Michelle Pfeiffer has always said she looked like a duck. When I first expressed my profound disagreement to a valued girlfriend, in a crowded Brazilian restaurant, she jealously slapped my face and called me Donald. posted by MiguelCardoso at 10:33 PM on October 7, 2002
