As a working chemist, I must say that this is a source of some idle speculation and much jocularity around the water cooler (Especially while drinking the microbiology beer. Microbiologists always have the best beer. No sulphites, you see). MDMA and amphetamines are criminally easy to make and with the Sigma Catalogue at hand, well...
Are you narc-ing on the site or spreading the word. Because your name is true for this post, the fire you left me.
PS, I loved chemistry in school and college but my work may look down on me for looking at that site. posted by thomcatspike at 2:48 PM on October 8, 2002
Bonehead, thanks for not being a bonehead, a true wise man. An educated person would understand your links and wouldn't want to be destructive to his mind either. posted by thomcatspike at 3:02 PM on October 8, 2002

I'm a little shocked at how hard it is to make meth. Does this mean that I shouldn't be mocking thousands of mulleted bikers residing outside Sacramento? They obviously have some smarts and dedication if they can pull this off (well, a dedication at least to total evil, at least, given that meth is the Satan's powder). posted by RJ Reynolds at 8:29 PM on October 8, 2002
