You know, the new movie, The Transporter, immediately made me think of the BMWFilms Series . . . I am so glad they are back at it . . . just too bad that this chap isn't in The Transporter, I would be certain to see it this weekend . . .

It's a damned shame they don't show the techniques involved... like double clutching, heel 'n' toe, using the handbrakes... You know, the crazy shit they don't teach you in drivers' ed, the crazy shit you can only pull off driving a manual :).

(annoyed grunt) Why people get excited about these "short films" confounds me -- aren't they just high-class advertisements, promoting an automobile that most people can't afford? Ads for automobiles shown on the television usually get muted or fast-forwarded or whatever -- instead people cream themselves over high-bandwidth shills like this. Colour me bemused. That said, Clive Owen is cool in anything else

They interest me because I'm a fan of a lot of the directors involved. Wong Kar-Wai's one is still floating about the net, and I believe its on the ol' DVD that you might still be able to get from BMW themselves. Oh, and I don't really rate Clive Owen too highly... so I always find it kinda weird how popular he seems.

Freakystyley: I think in the first set of films they released a few videos showing how they did the stunts on the show. Don't have the time to look for a link, but I imagine they should still be online.
