The Sound of Magic: an amazing homage to the ambient sounds of various Disney Mecca, is also an amazing site: beautiful, whimsical, nicely architected, and with plenty of content

At first, I thought this post was going to be about Disney building a new theme park in Mecca. Talk about fanning the flames of jihad!

nicely architected

Arrrggghhhhh....."architect" is a noun, not a verb! (And don't go crying to your pansy MW dictionary either -- half its definitions are wrong anyway)

If people use "architect" as a verb, then it's a verb. You may object only if you've never "dialed" a phone, or "showered," or "voted," or "logged on" to a computer system, or used any of the hundreds of other nouns that have become verbs in English's rich history.

It's a verb... see, I can add an -ed, and everyone knows what I mean. Besides, the reputable THE ECONOMIST accepts the construct... so there.

As for the lawyer... why? From what I can tell, this is all found sound. Oh... but it's Disney. Land of the MOUSE. Good guess.

Still a beautiful site!

Actually, davidfg, I first saw this site years ago when I was searching for some Disney park incidental music -- I think I was looking for summ'at Spectro magic. I wonder why it hasn't been shut down. Maybe Austrian copyright laws protect him?

I used to be able to do an excellent impression of Jack Wagner's monorail spiel: "Please stand clear of the doors. Por favor, mantenganse alejado de los puertas." Delivered in one quick breath.

Well, we all have our talents.

Feh. No Don Dorsey? No Jean-Jacques Perry? No Gershon Kingsley?

Spectromagic is lame compared to the original Main Street Electrical Parade. Long live those "electrosynthomagnetic musical sounds!"
