Motorbikes the new craze for Iranian Women. More taboos crumble in Iran, as women sign-up in their thousands for motorbike riding classes. Women have been allowed to drive cars, but not ride bicycles or motorbikes since the Islamic Revoluion. The problem now is to find women motorcyclists able to train those who have shown interest.

I bet in 10 years Iran will be a wholly different place. Either there will be a peaceful transition to pleasant moderate society, or a jarring revolution. Revolution would do similar things if not more.

It would be wonderful to see a couple of progressive, modernized, viable nations in the Middle East in the next ten years or so (Iraq's the other, come hell or high water).

I would love top see women come to power in the mid east. After a couple thousand years of men leading the region, I think the whole area could benefit from some fresh ideas.
Kudos to the motorcycle manufacturer for bucking the system and offering up classes to the women too.
