And a California wireless technology-maker proposed "technology improvements" and the "exporting of rich technology".

The same company, which Wired.com did not name, has said in press releases it has developed technology which could be used "as a weapon to ignite large sections of the atmosphere and incinerate all living creatures within its pre-selected co-ordinates" and has also called for the resignation of US President George W Bush.

What company could that be?

OpinionJournal's Best of the Web Today identifies the company as Gaiacomm and links to the press release that Wired.com mentions...

The press release is pretty odd...

The United States has become a super power by intimidation, murder, cover-ups, bribes, and plain dishonest conduct on all fronts. You should be ashamed of yourself to even attempt to make changes when your own house is in shambles and needs repair. Feed your family first before you spread your insecure politics to others who themselves are trying to survive. You and others like you are destroying this planet by ignoring certain signs and miracles. You use money as a weapon of control but lack the understanding and wisdom that money and ego do not blend with the dynamics of planet earth and its inhabitants.[From the Gaiacomm press release]

Wow, Steve, that sounds familiar, does it not? ;)

Seems like a really odd company, especially considering the CEO is named Judah Ben-Hur.

I wonder how much any of this really means anything. A lot of the email seemed like snake-oil to me, so its a bit like saying that the Nigerian scammers support U.S. foreign policy because the President happened to get one too. (Our countries debt is over - I was promised a 1000% return on investment if I just loaned them 10 trillion dollars to buy a new check book and stamps)
