Exploding Varmints, Vol. 1 with "hundreds of confirmed kills" is a video "so disgusting, he viewed the whole thing - twice", and a perfect target for PETA's wrath.

1. Bunch of mooks create film/comic/website/viewmaster reel deliberately designed to offend certain people.

2. Said 'certain people' duly offended, and make big stink, drawing in rubberneckers. Eventually blows over, everyones shock tolerance/gross out factor having been raised in the process.

3. Ante having been upped, said bunch of mook return to drawing board to create something even more outrageous, yet pointless.

4. Rinse. Repeat.

Your mileage may vary. Objects in rear view mearer larger than they appear. still legal in 15 states. Avoid direct contact with pants.

Before they explode, do the rats vibrate?

We here at YAF believe in having fun while opposing the loonie-left.

Gosh, if I had known that the Right believed that killing things for entertainment was a good thing, I would have joined up with them a long time ago. I am ready for them to release "Frying Felons, Vol 1" so I can sit in the comfort of my home and watch real live criminals get killed. Heck, I can't wait for "Massacred Muslims, Vol 1" once they get that thar war going - that should make for good Laz-e boy viewing. Hey, and I'll be keeping an eye out for "Beating Left-Leaning Protestor Types To Death, Vol 1." Heck, who cares about that "thou shalt not kill" business cuz killing stuff for fun is an American tradition! Even our President used to do it!

errr, joey - i don't know if you followed the links, but the video is about killing animals, not people (unless the ten commandments imply we should all be vegetarians, that refers to people, as do all your other irate comparisons).

One unemployed sunny afternoon a couple of sick, sadistic Redneck assholes who shoot small defenseless animals for amusement run out of ammo and beer (probably Red White and Blue or Mickey's bigmouths), scratch their heads (and their crotches), and say, "We need money."

Not much you can do about the shitheads of the world, although I hope someone finds something to nail them for (like maybe that "How to hunt on private property" section).

Im not against killing animals when needed but solely to kill for fame and profit is wrong. Hopefully whatever profit these guys make gets snaged and they get some decent community service hours at the local petting zoo.

I picked up this video at a gun show a few years ago. It's very disturbing. The guys in the video are about what you'd expect them to be, and there are short segments where they explain the kind of rifle and ammunition they use, about how varmint hunters get permission from farmers to hunt their land, and so on. The majority, however, is simply exploding varmint porn. Slow motion close-up shots of critters literally blown apart by explosive rounds set to a cheesy generic guitar rock soundtrack. I was riveted.

Varmints are a problem in rural areas, and I understand that this method of eliminating the rodents and such is better for the farmland (and, arguably, the animals) than traps or poison, but in the end, this video is just splatter porn for seriously twisted individuals.

I can't wait for Volume 2.

Andrew: I was building up to a point in my link. People who take joy in killing animals (as opposed to people who do it for food or clothing) tend to lack empathy for their fellow human beings as well. Is empathy for living creatures in pain or being killed strictly the province of the "loonie-left?" I can't believe that there aren't people on the right who would be equally appalled at the idea of killing as entertainment. If there isn't anybody on the right who is appalled at that idea, maybe I shouldn't spend time mocking the pundits who say right wingers are evil...

Hmmm, I say we just liquor them up, turn them loose in the woods with their guns, and watch. They are a Darwin Award waiting to happen.

Of course, we'll need someone to videotape it...
