Does a death lurk for the president elected in the year 2000? If the curse of Indian chief Tecumseh holds true it does. Every president elected in a year ending in zero has died before their term was up (except Reagan who was almost assassinated). We might see Cheney in office before 2004.....

I can't even imagine something like that happening, simply because it seems so fake/part of the past. When I think of assassinations, I think of Lincoln, and come on - that was 1865ish. But that is pretty creepy...can our society deal with a modern day assassination?

While it's nice to think there's more than just coincidence (and Reagan broke the "curse" by surviving the attempt on his life) it seems no one can find evidence of Tecumseh uttering any such thing.
