Normal people need love too!

The increase in obesity rates in America is not new news. Obese Americans are discriminated against all of the time. Everybody wants equal rights. Everybody is entitled. OK. But who stands up for the littler people in a big, fat, world? To grow into a normal sized female body with above normal sized breasts never felt that terrible. However, bras have always been difficult to find. Sure, we bigger busted women have felt less attractive with our choices of black or white bras when the rest of the world has a myriad of colors and styles to choose from but I dare say we’ve accepted it. Playtex (although not entirely sexy) has always been a Godsend when you’re looking for a 34DD bra…until now. With Playtex’s new Full Figure Fashion line, not only have larger to obese women been given tremendous options but it seems Playtex is phasing out the smaller sizes (my size included) as well. What’s a girl to do?

I don't understand what obesity has to do with bra size.

Why does this feel like a product placement?

The larger you are, the easier it is to find bras in your size, thus the discrimination is not against obese in this case and special accomidations have been made for them while it becomes increasingly more difficult to find bras if you're not obese but do indeed need larger cups. sorry.

Summer: I guess her point is that they're only making bras with big cups for fat women now, not for thin women with huge breasts, like her.

They're no longer making the special Y-fronts that us normal-sized men with huge penises wear either. What's a porn star to do?

So you're telling me big breasted small waisted women can't find bras??? The only reason that makes any sense in my mind is that those are the women men want to see without their bras.

I'm right there with you, Summer. I don't really see the point of this post, other than to let everyone know that foxyfoxinsox is thin with big boobs. So noted, foxy. Congratulations.

I feel really bad for her. She is thin and has large breasts. That's a formula for a terrible life if ever I've heard one.

That aside, I don't see anything in either link which says that the discrimination foxyfoxinsox suggests is happening. The Playtex link is just to a product page. Maybe if there were a press release or something saying that they were discontinuing a previously existing line, I could understand it. I sympathize... I have trouble finding nice clothes and shoes that fit. I wish all the popular brands made all the popular styles available to me, but they don't. But I don't think it's fair to cry "discrimination" because of that.

I think it's great that they're trying to accomodate more people with their expanded product line. If that excludes some people, thats a shame. But businesses aren't obligated to provide products for which there is no market. In the past, there weren't that many fat people. Now there aren't that many people who are petite but have big breasts (and such a shame that is). Businesses have to adapt.

What’s a girl to do?

1. Become a milkmaid.

2. Obese people are not discriminating against. Being obese should never be condoned, or encouraged. It is a scourge.

I wish I had a nickel for every visitor to foxyfoxinsox.com today. And I have no idea what's there because I, my friend, didn't go.

here we go....

again....

fat, (yes FAT), thin, lanky streaks of piss, midgets, big boned, big footed, big titted.

last time I looked there was no magical contract where we are owed anything by manufacturers.

learn to sew or have it handmade, it'll probably last longer anyway.

foxyfoxinsox: I see this is your first post, so before people get even snarkier, let me say that this post has several things wrong with it. 1) It's too long; if there's a lot that needs to be said, considerate posters put [more] after a sentence or two and add the rest in the first comment, but here I think what was needed was editing. 2) For one thing, you could have skipped the introductory obesity stuff (which is not only not news but tends to lead to inflammatory threads) and simply posted the last three sentences (in condensed form). But 3) It still probably wouldn't make for a good post, because what you're really saying is "company X doesn't make my favorite product any more, dammit," which usually doesn't make for a good post. But I'll let the gals make the final call on that.

Hardly. Just whining a bit. My point mainly was to see if there were any real suggestions out there but my guess is not.

I'm a big woman, with big breasts, and I've never had the choice in foundation garments that smaller women have. I also have to pay extra for larger sizes. I'm so sorry you're unhappy.....(mmphuhuh...and similar sounds of strangled mirth)
