Reason to worry?

Every US president elected in a year ending in zero has died before his term was up (except Reagan who came very close). This has been known as "Tecumseh's Curse" or the "Zero Year Curse". Should George W be worried? Or did Reagan break the curse for good? We'll see come 2004.

From Nov. 7 (courtesy lofi.mefi):

Does a death lurk for the president elected in the year 2000? If the curse of Indian chief Tecumseh holds true it does. Every president elected in a year ending in zero has died before their term was up (except Reagan who was almost assassinated). We might see Cheney in office before 2004.....

I'd heard about this, but never knew about Tecumseh's involvement. Which explains why the 1800 president (Thomas J.) wasn't included.

You could argue that a) Reagan was barely alive during much of his presidency, or b) that having him as president was enough of a curse, but neither pertains to the post.

p.s. That photo of Tecumseh on his page (to the right) looks nothing like the man I remember.
