The Apothecary's Drawer is the "play page" of writer and science journalist Ray Girvan. Here you'll find the Web equivalent of stuffed alligators, brass astrolabes and jars of leeches: an eclectic choice of links to scientific and artistic sites worldwide. Give it a try.

Morphic, that is a marvelous site - always a lot of diversity and fresh, interesting things. His weblog (also part of the site) is not to be missed. Ray Girvan is a fairly new Mefi member too!

Brilliant website, full of unexpected pleasures! Thanks, Morphic and Ray Girvan - see two posts down for ample justification of my gratitude!

I read his weblog as often as I can; great place. And a fine collection of links, too.

Ray Girvan is the author of the Mandelbrot Monk (published in The Apothecary's Drawer) one of the cleverest historical hoaxes I've seen.
