Oh great...another sports riot. Let's hope soccer never catches on in the states. Just imagine what our football hooligans would be up to...

European-style Football is actually very popular in a lot of cities. DC United consistently draws big crowds...I used to live not far from the metro station their fans used to go see them. Very intense fervor. Scared the living crap out of me.

Well, the watered-down beer on the bleachers tends to stop things getting out of hand in the States. Then again, there's plenty hooliganism on the field of play, whether it's bench-clearing baseball fights or Rodman roughing up the officials.
