Well said, Stan. To expand upon that, if you do ANY of the things listed on Fast Food Fever, you are clearly disturbed, and shouldn't be allowed unsupervised access to fast food.

Chili con queso a la Taco Bell: 1 pintos & cheese 1 nachos (just the plain chips & cheese sauce, not the "bell grande" or "supreme" or anything like that) 2 packets fire sauce (may vary according to taste) Eat enough of the pintos & cheese so that you can fit the remaining ingredients into the cup. Add cheese sauce & fire sauce. Mix well. Eat on chips.

1) I curtailed my fast food ground beef consumption after reading Fast Food Nation, so I'm loathe to trying any of these recipes unless they involve Chick-Fil-A. 2) I'm a frosty fry dipper and proud of it. Before McDonald's separated the hot side and the cold side in the vaunted McD.L.T., I was combining hot and cold sensation with a sweet, yet salty taste. However, I draw the line at Cocoa Crispers. 3) What's the "You got your ______ in my ______!" phenomenon? I'm not familiar with this.

Frank & kozad, it's a reference to Reese's Peanut Butter cups campaign ("you got your chocolate in my peanut butter!"), which dates back to the 1970's and likely no longer qualifies for phenomenon status.

This reminds me of the Mystery Science Theater skit shown during the "War of the Colossal Beast" movie (famed for the "Mr B Natural" short that ran before it). Joel and the Bots have all these flash cards, and they start inventing different Mexican food combinations, like the Beefy Bell Enchi-Lupa Grande Supreme and well, it just goes on from there.

I always fill my Big Macs with chips. That improves the taste no end, though it does makes the burger (which can be up to 4" thick) harder to eat. It helps if you stack the chips very neatly.

Before McDonald's separated the hot side and the cold side in the vaunted McD.L.T., I was combining hot and cold sensation with a sweet, yet salty taste. This rises above the level of mere fast food, but ... there's a Creole restaurant in L.A. called Uncle Darrow's (run by folks from St. Charles Parish back in Louisiana) that serves a type of poor boy sandwich I'd never heard of growing up in New Orleans -- the Zeek Po-Boy. It's your standard fried seafood sandwich (catfish and shrimp) on French ... but the piping hot, right-out-of-the-fryer seafood has cold potato salad piled right up on top of it. You get the hot, salty, peppery seafood combined with the cold, slightly sweet potato salad (provided you can get your mouth around it; it's Gargantuan), and it's purely fabulous. This reminds me of the Mystery Science Theater skit shown during the "War of the Colossal Beast" movie (famed for the "Mr B Natural" short that ran before it). Greatest. MST3K. Episode. EVER. Please, Uncle Jesus, make Rhino release that one on DVD, and I promise not to say any bad words for a whole year. (Well, a whole month.) Amen.

1. tartar sauce looks sexy in your beard. 2. wouldn't it be "you got your chocolate on my peanut butter"? because the chocolate isn't in the peanut butter, the peanut butter is encased in the chocolate.

my favorite snack used to be mustard and saltines. but now it's peanut butter and baby carrot sticks. i mostly liked combining things to make people ill, but every once in a while i'd stumble upon a union of culinary genius -- like graham crackers and cream cheese (really good -- of course, you people who make cheesecake know this).

I lived for many (teenage) years on cheese on toast - with peanut butter underneath the melted cheese. Yum. Surprisingly my cholesterol levels seem to remain within recommended levels.
