One-in, one-out: the nominations. "Who should be granted honorary British citizenship and who should have it revoked?" The BBC's Today programme has its annual poll and this year, it claims, is a little different. Various celebrities, politicians etc will be giving their opinions and the result will be announced on New Year's Day. Who will you be voting for?

Me! I deserve British citizenship. Instead of having to wait two more years, and pay for the honour of being interviewed, reviewed, and generally harassed for the opportunity. As for who should have it revoked, I occasionally have daydreams of someone taking David Blunkett, putting him on a train to Outer Siberia, and telling him it's just a very delayed train to Manchester.

I voted in Saddam Hussein...just for a laugh and I voted out Jordan along with anyone else who believes that celebrity can be based on exposure over talent or ability. (This applies to Big Brother contestants, it girls and Anne Widdecombe)

Obviously, if we ever want to win the Ashes again, we should give the entire Australian cricket team British nationality. Starting with Shane Warne. Who to get rid of? Geri Halliwell.

Out: anyone who claimed they would quit the country if some event were to happen (e.g. various celebrities re Labour being elected, and Prince Charles re hunting ban, etc) ... then didn't, and in many cases later denied making the threat.
