DANGEROUS BUSINESS (NYT) In plant after plant, year after year, McWane workers have been maimed, burned, sickened and killed by the same safety and health failures. "The current law is inadequate to deal with serious violators, repetitive violators, situations where people are put at risk day after day," said Charles N. Jeffress, who headed the Occupational Safety and Health Administration in the late 1990's.

I passed on this series the first time around until I saw the NY Times writer interviewed on either CNN or Fox or one of the other TV news shows. Then I went and checked it out. It's pretty horrific. If the article wasn't so credible you wouldn't believe this could happen in the US.
