Vancouver Police turn to internet for help with Guns N' Roses riot. "Police have had little luck busting any of the riot ringleaders, so yesterday they unveiled an online picture gallery in the hope that someone will identify people photographed at the scene."

Wow - that pepper spray attack was pretty aggressive. The riot didn't seem *that* out of control - was pepper spray really needed?

Wow - that pepper spray attack was pretty aggressive. The riot didn't seem *that* out of control - was pepper spray really needed?

Oh man, that's nothin'. Did you see the pepper spray they (the RCMP, not the VPD) used at the APEC protests in 1997?

There's video at the CBC site (which wasn't very co-operative when I tried it).

What you won't see on the VPD site is video of a police officer coming, seemingly out of nowhere, and decking a guy who looked like he wanted to get the hell out of there (about 1:20 into this news report you get to see it twice).

That guy that was decked by the cop lost several teeth. Poor bastard wasn't even part of the riot: he was trying to get outta there, and stupidly followed police instructions to "go this way." Then, wham, outta the blue some adrenalin-pumped cop comes running at him and slams his freakin' club right through his mouth. Fuck. Someone's head should be rolling.

Compared to that, the pepper spray was nuthin'!

mikojava: That may be real funny and all, but you just slowed down the VPD server that much more. Making BE A FRIEND OF BIG BROTHER IN YOUR OWN HOME MONTH that much less of a month spent trying to hunt down these bored ne'er do wells who inflicted harm upon the corporate entity that booked, sold and welcomed in these highly clueless fans.

They all look pretty young. If only they knew what we do. (post age 27)

In high school, I once dumped a girl after two dates when I'd learned she liked Guns N' Roses and idolized Axl Rose. Really.
