Thanks to global warming we are in deep shit. Biologist Gerry Kuzyk was hiking with his wife in the remote reaches of the Yukon when he caught the putrid scent of caribou dung wafting through the chill air.

Then he saw it -- the biggest pile of animal droppings he had ever seen, 8 feet high and stretching over a half-mile of mountainside.

Fascinating article. Thanks for the link. No doubt these folks will be looking for volunteers lest they lose specimens to rot and wildlife.

i think he's implying the large amounts of methane (and shit) being produced by vast numbers of cattle and other domestic animals that are being raised to feed the world's population. methane is a greenhouse gas, and has been linked in part to the general rise of temperatures. so. lots of shit warmed up the air and melted ice that had frozen ancient shit.

I've often thought of finding a frozen Mammoth and Ice Man locked in mortal battle. Then cloneing them and touring where they can re-enact their fatal last moments in the local Superdome. Iceman versus MAMMOTH. A monstor truck rally of sorts for Paleontologists.

And, this methane, no one has thought of harnessing this natural gas for power?

What a waste! So much money to be made, and so many greenies to please! It's win-win all around!

For most scientists, from ecologists to climate experts, the warming of the planet is a disturbing trend that could radically alter the environment. But for archaeologists, it has prompted a breathtaking treasure hunt.

Hey here is a positive spin to global warming...perfectly preserved species from 10,000 years ago frozen in ice recently thawed.

thawing mammoths? clone those suckers. Mmmmmm.....lean, juicy mammoth meat.......

Even better, clone them and release them, to repopulate planet after sudden nonlinear climate shift catastrophe touched off by ocean circulation shutdown, so when my cleverly prepared survival pod opens, I have something tasty to eat

.....I'm sharpening my spear, hoarding my furs....mmmmm...lean mammoth meat, roasted over a fire....in a cave.....*smacks lips*

Look guys, global warming is a myth. This was caused by one very large caribou. And the stone-age artifacts were placed there by God to test our faith. Also, a wizard was involved.

Global warming? But it's cold here this week, so that's just a commie lie to destroy our nation by people who hate our freedoms. *drool*

Awesome story. But what they didn't answer was what are they going to do with all the shit?! Not like there's anywhere to put it, but it's just going to sit there and smell up the region? I'd hate to be on the down draft!
