Violent Media is Good For KidsInteresting theory that viewing violent media, reading comics and playing bloody video games is actually cathartic for kids. Not sure it's valid, but it's interesting.

I like this premise. It seems like a sound theory to me, although no more or less certain than its opposing theory. I don't see a problem with being exposed to negative things. It's acting on them that is a problem. Overexposure can cause one to be desensitized, but in moderation it does not appear to cause irrepairable harm to children. In fact, sheltering a child from the outside world does not allow the child to adapt to the environment.
