Violent Media is Good For Kids Interesting theory that viewing violent media, reading comics and playing bloody video games is actually cathartic for kids. Not sure it's valid, but it's interesting.

I like this premise. It seems like a sound theory to me, although no more or less certain than its opposing theory. I don't see a problem with being exposed to negative things. It's acting on them that is a problem. Overexposure can cause one to be desensitized, but in moderation it does not appear to cause irrepairable harm to children. In fact, sheltering a child from the outside world does not allow the child to adapt to the environment.
