Dolly's gone
February 14, 2003 11:41 AM   Subscribe

Dolly is dead. "The type of lung disease Dolly developed is most common in older sheep. And in January 2002, it was revealed that Dolly had developed arthritis prematurely. She was cloned using a cell taken from a healthy six-year-old sheep, and was born on 5 July 1996 at the Roslin Institute, Edinburgh, Scotland."

Double post.

Now, if Dolly had died in Iraq, or been smothered by a huge front-page post, you might have something.

As we await the deletion of this redundant thread, some poesy....

Ewe, ewe only, exist.
We pass away, till at last,
our passing is so immense
that Ewe arise: beautiful copy,
in all your repetitiveness,
arising in love, or enchanted
in the contraction of genetic
engineering. Or something.

Hopefully the post will die as a result of being cloned.

I would just like to say if people would make the topic of their posts more obvious and not try to think of some stupid tangential thing to say, with the assumption that everyone reads every post, this wouldn't happen so often.

Damn you, mr_crash_davis - that was my idea.....

Oh well. Enough about Iraq anyway. Too bad about Dolly though......I guess this means I'll have to shut down my home pet cloning project. *rolls eyes, heaves big sigh*
