Thanks for these. I like the look and feel of Gridlock, much less garish than Traffic Jam posted by vacapinta at 11:42 AM on February 21, 2003

glennie: is that the one with a bunch of blocks, with the light in the middle of that one? I'm pretty sure its impossible... posted by Orange Goblin at 3:25 AM on February 22, 2003
glennie: Check out that double mirror... notice the slit in the middle of it? posted by Khalad at 11:57 AM on February 22, 2003
Actually, forget that. You don't need the slit; just that's it a *double-sided mirror*. posted by Khalad at 12:00 PM on February 22, 2003
Sorry for the delay in response, and thanks OG and Khalad.
The trouble with that particular puzzle is that it requires *two* refractors (which turns the beam 45 degrees): one to get in the black field and on to get out.
I say it's impossible. But it won't trouble me enough to learn German and complain to those responsible. posted by glennie at 10:36 PM on February 22, 2003
uh, block field. posted by glennie at 10:36 PM on February 22, 2003
I guess it was a bug: when I tried again, I had *two* refractors.
